MickFix™ helps individuals and small organizations pressure-test consequential decisions before they commit significant money, time, resources, or reputation. The exposure is the same. The staff is not. Large organizations often have counsel, finance teams and other specialists to challenge a proposal. A family farm, church board, main-street shop or one-person practice may face a consequential decision without anyone specifically assigned to question its assumptions. The MickFix™ Decision Preflight fills that seat. Before work begins, the client and founder Michael J. "Mick" Ryan agree on the decision in writing. Ryan checks the material claims against their sources, compares the proposed course of action with doing nothing and at least one alternative using the same criteria, and delivers a written GO, MODIFY or STOP recommendation within fifteen business days of the agreed start. The recommendation includes the evidence, what remains unresolved and who must resolve it. Unverified claims are labeled unverified. The fee is flat and does not change with the answer. Ryan accepts no referral or success fee from anyone on the engagement. Implementation is quoted separately after the recommendation, and the client decides who performs it. Ryan holds a master's degree in security administration and has completed formal mediation training. He also writes grants and AI use policies for Kansas organizations. His experience spans managing pari-mutuel wagering systems at Churchill Downs in the 1990s and coaching tellers at the 2026 Kentucky Derby. MickFix™ Academy is a developing education and training initiative for people of all ages and organizations with practical learning needs. Its initial focus is older skilled adults, helping them connect their experience with newer digital and AI tools. A six-week practical AI program is proposed as its first offering, taught in live 60-minute and 90-minute sessions personally led by Mick. Dates and the session schedule are not yet set.
